Many accidents can be prevented with a little common sense. Remember the following when driving in order to help prevent accidents:

• Make sure your vehicle is in proper working condition. Proper maintenance can keep you from winding up in dangerous situations.
• Stay alert while driving. If you are falling asleep at the wheel, PULL OVER and take a nap if necessary.
• Keep a distance of at least two car lengths in front of you. This is especially important on rainy or foggy days.
• Don'’t “multi-task” while driving. Talking on the phone, applying make-up, and reading the newspaper should be done while you are not concentrating on the road.
• Respect posted speed limits at all times.
