Sensoria Partners With MechanicNet For In-Vehicle Diagnosis Service - Aftermarket News
San Diego - MechanicNet has forged a partnership with Sensoria Corp. to launch an
in-vehicle diagnostic service that can monitor data from on-board systems, alert
drivers to trouble, describe the problems and their urgency, and pass that
information on to a select service dealer.

Dave Gelvin, President and CEO of Sensoria Corp., said that the two companies have
developed a fully functioning system for gathering real data from the car. And,
while it operates on an open platform that gives drivers access to important
diagnostic information, Gelvin said the real value-added feature for consumers is
its support services, like MechanicNet's, which provide detailed repair information
and service locations when the information is most needed.

Steven Liao, president of MechanicNet, explained that this service reduces
uncertainty and urgency because the consumer, service dealer and parts vendor are
notified of the impending repair. "This benefits the driver and service provider
alike by improving communications and lowering repair time and costs," he
explained.

Sensoria plans to demonstrate the MechanicNet services in a vehicle outfitted with
the Sensoria "telematics Environment" during the Society of Automotive Engineers’
digital car show March 4 to 7 at the Cobo Center in Detroit.
